Our staff offers a diverse range of experience and service by blending a combination of men, women, youth and maturity with talent, education, experience and vision.

We have a high percentage of registered architects on our team and a staff of highly-skilled and talented interior designers, interns and drafting technicians. We take special pride in our skills and accomplishments and we believe it shows in each of our projects. We are a medium-sized firm tracing its beginning to the early 1940's. Our base of operation has always been Waco, Texas. We have served clients throughout Texas, many other states, and several foreign countries.

Each of our projects represents a solution to a unique set of circumstances, and each is a success in function, form, and the way it stretches experience beyond the basic. We have earned the reputation of being excellent, knowledgeable designers who provide quick response times and are accountable to project budgets.

    A.I.A., N.C.A.R.B., TBAE Registration #5775

    Keithen J Bailey Photo Mr. Bailey, a native Wacoan, received a Bachelor of Architecture Degree from Texas A & M University in 1971. While attending Texas A & M University, he received numerous design awards and scholarships, was six times a distinguished student and charter member of the Texas A & M University's Chapter of Tau Sigma Delta National Honor Society. Mr. Bailey became a registered architect in 1976 and that same year joined the firm, which is now RBDR, PLLC. His chief responsibilities are in the areas of design and planning. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects, N.C.A.R.B. certified, registered in eight states, a registered interior designer, and has served in city and community commissions. He is a member of Lake Shore Baptist Church.

  • J. Grant Dudley

    J Grant Dudley Photo Mr. Dudley graduated from Texas A & M University with a Bachelor of Environmental Design Degree in 1979, did graduate work in architecture at Texas Tech University during the following year, and has practiced his chosen profession continuously since that time, first in Dallas and then in Waco. Mr. Dudley became a registered architect in 1993. Mr. Dudley has held the office of president in the local AIA chapter on three occasions and has served on the Texas Society of Architect's Associate Development Committee as well as other Boards and Committees for various entities. He is a past member of Waco Optimist Club and he is a member First Presbyterian Church.

  • David E. Wright
    A.I.A., LEED AP BD+C, TBAE Registration #16621

    David E Wright Photo Mr. Wright earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from The University of Texas at San Antonio in 1993 and became registered as an architect in the state of Texas in 1999. Mr. Wright joined RBDR, PLLC in 1997. As project architect, he works in both project management and technical production capacities for the firm. His project management experience ranges from programming and project concept development through construction documentation and administration. He has worked on a variety of projects including small private enterprise jobs and large federal government contracts. Mr. Wright is a member of the American Institute of Architects and the Texas Society of Architects and has served as president and newsletter editor/publisher of the local Waco AIA Chapter and Waco Chapter TSA Director. David most recently became a LEED Accredited Professional (AP) in order to better serve our clients that desire LEED certified facilities.

  • Bernadette T. Conrad Hookham
    A.I.A., N.C.A.R.B., LEED AP BD+C, TBAE Registration #16887

    Bernadette T Conrad Hookham Photo Ms. Hookham graduated in 1995 from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Architecture degree. She joined RBDR, PLLC in 1999. She is a registered architect in Texas and Iowa and is N.C.A.R.B. certified. Her roles in the firm include project architect and project manager. She is proficient in AutoCad and Cadvance. Ms. Hookham's experience includes college and university facilities, primary and secondary education buildings, medical clinics and health care facilities, office buildings and corporate work. Ms. Hookham is a Member of the American Institute of Architects, the Texas Society of Architects, and has served as Chapter President of the local Waco AIA Chapter. Bernadette most recently became a LEED Accredited Professional (AP) in order to better serve our clients that desire LEED certified facilities.

  • John R. Rogers
    TBAE Registration #37549

    Mr. Rogers graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction in 1967. In 1974 Mr. Rogers graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering. Mr. Rogers has been practicing his profession in Waco since 1970 when he joined the firm of Drennon Associates (established in 1958). In 1991 Mr. Rogers purchased the firm from Mr. Drennon, and, in 1996, changed the firm name to The Rogers Company. Mr. Rogers has served as past president of the local chapter of Texas Society of Professional Engineers. Mr. Rogers provided structural engineering services to numerous architects, contracors, etc. throughout the Central Texas area. In 2011 Mr. Rogers joined RBDR, PLLC to serve as their in-house structural engineer.
